I received my PhD (2009) in Scandinavian languages at Centre of Languages and Literature at Lund university. My thesis dealt with the discursive practice of political pamphlets in the emerging public sphere in Sweden in 1769 and in 1809–1810. In my thesis I focus on discursive strategies of legitimation and delegitimation and discuss the analytical tools for performing such analyses.
My major field of interest is the use of language in society - contemporary as well as historically. I have a broad methodological interest for discourse analysis, text linguistics and sociolinguistics.
2010–2013 I was part of a project at The Swedish Institute for Health Sciences studying intercultural communication in the care of children with diabetes. I've also worked as a researcher at the Pufendorf Institute, studying metaphors in the discourse of the finance crisis.
2015–2018 I am part of the project Metaphors in Palliative Cancer Care.
Other fields of interests are political language and vocabulary knowledge.
