Research

Research in the area of numerical methods for mechanical applications and numerical simulation technique.
There, I am mainly specialized on numerical integration methods for ordinary differential equations (explicit and differential-algebraic ones). Disciontinuity handling is an important issue in this context.

Currently ongoing  industrial collaboration with SKF, Modelon AB

previous industrial collaboration and consulting with Bofors, MAN NT, Knorr Bremse, Siemens, Dynasim.

A second and smaller research branch is related to didactics of numerical analysis. Here we have an ongoing project with Soran University (Kurdistan) on teaching programming intensive courses in numerical analysis.

I am member of Lund Center for Control of Complex Engineering Systems (LCCC) and the editorial board of the Springer series "Differential Algebraic Equations Forum" (DAE-F)
