The substantial part of my research on women’s autobiographies is presented in Summoned by law: Swedish women’s autobiographies from Agneta Horn to Fredrika Bremer,1996) and in History of Scandinavian women’s literature I:In the name of God 1993. Here I have mapped the driving forces and dialogues determining what these female autobiographers say: how Agneta Horn rejects her family’s accusations of greed and disobedience and how Queen Kristina rejects contemporary accusations of immorality and abnormality. My research on the work of Birger Sjöberg has elucidated, first, the chronology and development of the song collection Fridas Bok (The book of Frida 1922), and its parodying relationship to a broad literary tradition with its roots in the 19th century in The songs of Frida and the people: Parody in Birger Sjöberg 1985 and, second, the development of the significant poetry collection Kriser och kransar from the point of view of the parodic devices initially and successfully introduced in the songs of Frida and of a psychoanalytical reading (Bjerre's theory) of literary creation, love and suffering in The road to Kriser och kransar: Parodic devices and images of pulsion in Birger Sjöberg 2010).My research on Queen Christina's letters is focussed on gender positions (male) in her letters to Ebba Sparre.
