Currently I am working in the Cellular Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Group on a project developing experimental methods to investigate cortical dysplasia, and using cellular replacement strategies to correct abnormal function leading to epileptic activity. Cortical dysplasia is a common cause of epilepsy in children.
Previously I have studied seizure mechanisms and seizure treatment in the hippocampus of mice using optogenetics.
