The main aim of my research is to better understand the effects of environmental changes on forest ecosystems and on the ecosystem services provided by forests. I am particularly interested to study the effect of forests management changes when considering interactions and trade-offs between different biogeochemical processes.
My research is primarily based on the use of ecosystem models complemented with the analysis of measured data.
The fundamental goal of my work is to try to address the question on which forest practices can provide an optimal balance between the desired ecosystem services at present and in the future.
