Research

My area of interest is within the field of risk governance and how several actors, for example public and private stakeholders, work together in order to manage risk and prepare for emergencies. I am interested in both understanding currently used methods for managing risks as well as in how methods, which take the increasing complexity of society into account, can be developed. My PhD project focuses specifically on the development of methods for capability assessment.

Teaching

I am the course coordinator of the course Foundations for Risk Assessment and Management (VRSN05), and I lecture, grade student essays and supervise master theses projects in several courses focusing on various aspects of risk management and societal safety.
