Research

My research area is focusing on structures and strategies to induce change to promote sustainable development in a climate change perspective and I am mainly using social scientific methods and approaches to answer my research questions. Research collaborations and projects are mostly transdisciplinary, focusing on natural resource management and Integrated Impact Assessment, mainly water and land as well as management of urban areas.

Two main research focuses;
* participatory research and participatory management (co learning processes) and development of structures and systems for how how natural science can serve as a base for sustainable management of our societies (evidence based management).

*research on the interaction between legal and policy structures (socio-legal studies) where the focus lies on how such structures can involve participatory processes as well as promote sustainable development.
