- Energy Systems
I have been conducting research within environmental and energy systems studies since 2001. The overarching purpose of my research is to advance the knowledge on sustainable energy systems and possible pathways to achieve this. My research is of a cross-disciplinary character and involves environmental and energy systems studies, technology assessment, scenario analysis and policy analysis. Empirically my research has focused on biomass and its different uses, the district heating systems, the integration of energy systems (the electricity and district heating systems), the forest industry, decarbonisation of the basic materials industry and energy and climate policy.
