Research

I am a currently a PhD candidate at the clinical department. My clinical experiences are within the Child and Youth Psychiatry Clinic at Lund University Hospital.

My work examines the psychological processes involved in development, maintenance and treatment of excessive worry in children and adolescents. The research also encompasses ways to improve treatment efficacy by refining our knowledge of the mechanisms involved in excessive worry and General anxiety disorder (GAD). My current focus involves exploring the relationship between excessive worry and the cognitive processes of intolerance of uncertainty, positive believes about worry, cognitive avoidance and negative problem orientation. This line of research also involves translating and validating measures in a Swedish population of school age children and adolescents.
