The Unit for Environmental Epidemiology (in Swedish: Enheten för miljöepidemiologi [EME]) has deep knowledge and extensive experience in research focused on the hypothesized associations between environmental exposures (such as air pollution, endocrine disruptors and residential environment) and health. The unit coordinates SIMSAM Lund, which is an effort financed by the Swedish Research Council with the purpose to use new perspectives when investigating the interplay between environmental factors, social issues and health based on registers and biobanks. Lars Rylander is group leader for EME.
