Research

I am a PhD student in Stem Cell Biology at Lund University, in Sweden, and I work at the Developmental and Regenerative Neurobiology group. During the past 4 years, I have been working with direct cell reprogramming of somatic cells into neurons.

During this time, I have developped in vitro protocols for efficiency optimization in the reprogramming of human fibroblasts into neurons. Currently, my studies focus on determining the effect that different gene combinations and environments have on cell phenotype after in vivo reprogramming of residing glial cells into neurons.
