My research interest is in the area of empirical Industrial Organization. For my PhD thesis, I am working in the area of competition and behaviour of firms and consumers. In one of my papers, which is a joint work with my supervisor Professor Jerker Holm, We have examined if competitive pressure motives firms to deviate from regulation and involve in business misconduct. Presently, I am working on a paper that examines consumers' choice behaviour. I rely on a unique data to estimate a demand system which will allow me to infer consumers’ average preferences for the main characteristics of service providers including proximity. The result will help to understand the nature of local competition and evaluate potential policy changes.
