I have written four books including Empty Labor: Idleness and Workplace Resistance (Cambridge University Press) where I address the mystery of why some employees can be very idle at work whereas others suffer from stress and work intensification. I have also studied and written about the Swedish workfare system, and my last book Return to Meaning: A Social Science with Something to Say (co-authored with Mats Alvesson and Yiannis Gabriel, Oxford University Press) is about the lack of relevance and meaningfulness in social science.

I currently teach FEKA90 - Delkurs: Organisation and BUSN44 Strategic Human Resource Management
