This cooperation aims to offer strong research-based teaching to MA students in East European Area Studies. The history of the countries in this region is inherently entangled and so are current cultural and political processes. Moreoverm studying this region in some depth demands specific knowledge and linguistic competence.
Few Nordic universities are able to offer this kind of research-based teaching. The participating teachers have a vast experience on the region. The combined regional and linguistic competence at the universities of Copenhagen, Lund and Tartu enable us to cover nearly all parts of the region. In addition, the methodological competence of the participating teachers covers a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative approaches, backed up by strong theoretical fundamentals. We strenghten our existing MA programs by creating inspiring international contacts with teachers and fellow students from the partner universities, thus ensuring that our students have access to a wider selection of excellent research-based teaching.
