We describe one useful discrete probability distribution for circular data, along with suggesting test procedures for the parameters of the model. An application used as a starting point is research on bird orientation behaviour, where data were measured as counts in a number of sectors of a circle. Further, we look at how time dependence can be incorporated in such a model.
