- Radiologi och bildbehandling
I do Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) my own way, the fun way in basic and clinical neuroscience. Being a physicist, I do a lot of QA to turn clinical MRI scanners, the happy snappy cameras of the radiologists, into instruments for quantitative measurements- all for the purpose of determining volumes, concentrations of neurometabolites, and biophysical properties of tissue. Sometimes this helps answering questions of clinical research or in diagnosis of individual patients. Besides, I like scanning objects that are not really meant to be scanned in clinical scanners, like small animals or fixed brains. In my spare time I try to solve theoretical problems. This often results in setbacks that get me back on track again.
