Beskrivning

The T2 distribution in brain is fitted to multi-echo 3D GraSE (gradient and spin echo) data acquired at 7T. The short T2 components (around 15ms) are assigned to "myelin water" entrapped in the multiple bilayers of myelin. The high signal to noise ratio at 7T is employed for increased resolution and additional acceleration compared to 3T.
