Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in workshop/ seminar/ course

Description

On 19 January this year, the report 'The limitations on copyright' (Inskränkningarna i upphovsrätten (SOU 2024:4) was submitted to the government. The report contains proposals for a clearer and more modern regulatory framework for the unauthorised use of works protected by copyright. The report proposes, among other things, that the rules on art in the public space be adapted to current conditions, increased opportunities to use works in news reporting and a new general restriction on parodies, etc. The proposals also mean that cultural heritage institutions will have greater opportunities to use works and that a new restriction will be introduced for scientific research.

The seminar will describe and discuss the proposals in the report.
