AI Governance - Social Norms and interdisciplinary needs

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talk

In this presentation at the MIRAI Research and Innovation week in Fukuoka, Japan, dr Larsson argue for the need for an interdisciplinary approach when studying implications of applied AI. He introduced a number of ongoing studies in his research groups on AI & Society at Lund University, in order to show the combination of disciplinary backgrounds - sociology, medicine, computer science, law - needed to study aspects of AI governance. The projects range from consumer and health perspectives (here, especially mammography) on AI implementation, to governance of ADM and AI in public sector authorities to design issues and social norms in social robotics.
