Professor Takahashi conducts cross-cultural and trans-disciplinary research on the social impact of robots as well as the potential of AI for Good, in affiliation with the UN as well as the JST Moonshot R&D projects. Within a MIRAI 2.0-funded collaboration, together with Stefan Larsson, Associate Professor in Technology and Social Change at LTH, LU, and Laetitia Tanqueray, PhD student, Professor Takahashi is visiting the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies to discuss perceptions and implications of AI and robotics.
