Local Program Area Emergency Care will work for good, safe and equal care for the emergency patient who seeks care with symptoms, conditions and injuries that are time-sensitive and potentially dangerous to life and health.

Emergency care is of importance regardless of location, which includes the care before arrival at a hospital's emergency department and also the care after the emergency department.
