Description

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have toxic impacts on humans and ecosystems. One of the most carcinogenic PAHs, benzo (a) pyrene (BaP), is efficiently partitioned to and transported with atmospheric particles.

Dr Manish Shrivastava from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), USA, gave a presentation on “Interactions between climate relevant secondary organic aerosols and health relevant polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons”. After the seminar, there was a workshop around key research question.
