Lund University have invested quite some time and effort in curating the external organizations in Pure. At this point we have around 20 000 external organisation already cleaned up. But is it worth the effort? Cleaning the list of external organisation is like mopping the sea shore, a work that never will be done since new organizations is added every day by imports and registrations. But there are many useful parts of having a clear set of external organisation. Hanna Voog, assistant system manager for PURE at Lund University, will give some example how this data is used. How it could improve the showcasing of data in PURE and where the major challenges are. Cleaning external organizations is a task that is related to almost all parts and modules in PURE, is affecting the reports and the limitations in the portal.
