Migration, transient bodies, and re-construction of the self: embodying refinement of bodies in the borderland of community and society

Activity: Talk or presentationPresentation

Description

During the Covid-19 pandemic in Sweden, recommendations of maintaining social distancing and taking responsibility for one's own and others' health were introduced to the society. In this presentation, I explored the questions of how such guidelines were understood in a context of migration and by asylum seekers in Sweden, and how migratory bodies could be redirected, re-regulated and reconditioned during the process.
