Description

Humanitarian and development actors often find it difficult to coordinate their work in the field – they have for example different objectives and different time horizons. Looking at the present crisis in Syria – what are the lessons to be drawn? How can emergency assistance to refugees and other crises affected populations be better coordinated with long term development and post-war reconstruction?

A team of researchers from the German Evaluation Office, DEval, describes, by reviewing existing literature, the successes and challenges for humanitarian and development actors who try to work together in Syria.
