Public Political Philosophy – a symposium

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in conference

Description

This symposium focuses on the turn towards engaged and practically oriented normative political theory and philosophy. We will explore how normative theory can benefit from collaboration with researchers across disciplines and with non-academic collaborators. The symposium aims to show the diversity of engaged normative theory currently being developed and to discuss methodological challenges: What are the benefits and possible risks of doing normative theorising together with non-academic collaborators? Is public political philosophy a meaningful new research program? What can normative theorists learn from similar work in other disciplines or by activists?
