Description
Visited the e-Miles company, founded by Malena Engineering, who has developed a new urban electrical vehicle that incorporates many different innovations. It is expandable by 37 cm to accommodate goods or up to four people comfortably. It´s 2,5 meters length allows parking in many different locations and its folding front door allows direct access with a wheelchair. It is driven with a joystick located between the two front seats, which allows the car to be used by everyone in every country without making any modifications. And many other innovations that make e-Miles really a revolutionary concept in urban mobility.First, we visited the DFACTORY in Barcelona, a hub for the creation of an ecosystem to encourage the promotion and development of 4.0 industry. DFACTORY includes spaces for offices and labors, coworking, a large auditorium as well as a roof top terrace for events. Malena Engineering has an office in the DFACTORY and benefits from the exchange with various companies sharing this space.
Second, we visited the headquater of Malena Engineering, where the E-Miles company was born. Malena Engineering offered a detailed presentation of the E-Miles company and its innovative 3D printed electric vehicle for last-mile delivery and urban mobility. We discussed the possibility of testing this innovative vehicle in the city of Helsingborg together with Ikea and Lund university and agreed on a timely follow up. Then we visited the manufacturing location where we could get glimpses of the first fully functioning prototype of the vehicle.
