Description

Participation in a distinguished international conference on the literature of August Strindberg, where I presented a paper comparing, on the one hand, Strindberg's critique of knowledge specialization in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and, on the other hand, Ludvig Holberg's critique of so-called pedantry during the first half of the 18th century. The conference, with the theme "Strindberg and Memory", was organized by The Strindberg Society and The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities. It took place at the premises of the latter institution, in the Rettig House in Stockholm.
