Activity: Talk or presentationPublic lecture/debate/seminar

Description

It has been a year since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The war is still ongoing with tremendous consequences. According to UNHCR, over 8 million Ukrainians have fled, seeking shelter in Lithuania, Poland, and other European countries (https://data.unhcr.org/en/situations/ukraine).The West is intensifying its efforts to provide necessary, humanitarian, financial and military equipment to assist Ukraine in stopping Russian forces. At the same time, it needs to address the challenges the war poses for European and global security.

At this Academic Seminar Night, we will talk about the current status quo with practitioners and experts in the field:
•Her Excellency Asta Radikaitė, Ambassador of Lithuania to Denmark
•Steen Kjærgaard, Deputy Director, Institute for Strategy and War Studies, Danish Military Academy
•Flemming Splidsboel Hansen, Senior Researcher, Danish Institute of International Studies
•Julia Zaitseva-Kirk, Copenhagen University.

The discussion panel was created and will be moderated by Miłosz J. Cordes, Post-Doctoral Researcher at Lund University.
