The symposium ”Trans, Non-binary and Intersex (in) Education” the 7th Nordic Transgender Studies network symposium, brought together researchers at all stages, (school) teachers, students, artists and activist from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the UK, Luxembourg, Austria and Spain, to discuss current research, pedagogies and activist strategies in the intersectinal fields of transgender and intersex studies on a high level of expertise and committment.

The symposium opened with the public keynote lecture “In But Not Of The Academy: Exploring Invisibility as a Tactic for Trans Studies” by Z Nicolazzo, Assistant Professor, Trans* Studies in Education och co-chair, Transgender Studies Research Cluster, University of Arizona.

The symposium was part of the VR-funded research project "Young trans people's experiences in school".
