    Description

    The integrated vibration spectroscopy - microcosm laboratory has the capability to record infrared and Raman spectra of essentially any sample in solid or liquid state. Infrared spectra can be collected at high time-resolution in transmission and reflection mode, and a special accessory designed and built by our group facilitates analysis of processes at solid-liquid interfaces in real-time and variable solution conditions. Moreover, the laboratory is equipped with FTIR and dispersive Raman microscopes that enables collection of spatially resolved infrared and Raman spectra of a resolution of ca. 5 and 0.5 micrometer, respectively.

    Equipment and resources

    The integrated vibration spectroscopy - microcosm laboratory consists of:
    • one stand-alone high performance vacuum FTIR spectrometer (Bruker Vertex 80v)
    • one FTIR microscope equipped with a 128x128 focal plane array detector (Bruker Hyperion 3000 + Bruker IFS 66v/s)
    • one FTIR microscope equipped with a 64x64 focal plane array detector (Bruker Hyperion 3000 (latest electronics for fast measurements) + Bruker Equinox 55)
    • one dispersive and confocal Raman microscope equipped with three lasers, 532, 633 and 785 nm (Horiba Labram Evolution)
