The facility comprises 13 engine test cells, of which 12 in the M-building and one at the division of Combustion Physics. These contain 15 engine test beds, each including a dynamometer, engine hardware and control system. Each test cell has access to exhaust emission analyzers. Most engines are heavy duty engines, four are light duty engines, one is a CFR engine (specialized for fuel research), and one is a medium speed gas engine. Six of the engines are optically accessible.
Horiba Mexa 7000 and AVL AMAi60 exhaust emission analyzers.
All data are generated, stored and transferred locally.
