Light Scattering

Infrastructure

    Infrastructure Details

    Description

The instruments are used for angle-dependant dynamic and static light scattering with the possibility to measure on turbid samples. For high turbidity samples, dynamic measurements can be performed. The particle size measurement range is from 1 nm up to about 5000 nm with a temperature range of 5-60oC.

    Equipment and resources

Laser light scattering goniometer system from ALV

The light scattering instrument from LS Instruments (3D) can also measure turbid samples.

The Zetasizer Nano ZS from Malvern Instruments can, in addition, measure z-potential.

Diffusive wave spectrometer (DWS) measures extremely turbid samples.
