    Description

    Lu2D2 is a Lund University cross-faculty (Medicine and Science) and interdisciplinary infrastructure dedicated to educate, collaborate, and use luminescence properties of natural and artificial materials for revealing new information. This may be information on prospective and retrospective doses as well as geological and archaeological ages.
    Lu2D2 mainly work with optically stimulated luminescence (OSL), thermoluminescence (TL) and infrared stimulated luminescence (IRSL). It was established in 2019.

    Gamma spectrometry equipment for in situ and ex situ measurements

    Services provided

    Dating of geological and archaeological materials, retrospective and prospective dosimetry.
    Advice for sampling strategy and assistance with sampling.
    May provide individual dosemeters (NaCl pellets).
