Infrastructure Details

Description

The SpatialOmics@LU core facility offers hi-plex spatial omics analysis of mRNA and protein in tissue sections using the GeoMx DSP platform from nanoString.

We are located at Medicon Village in building 406, and are accessible to all academic and external customers.

Customers are served on a first-come, first served basis with a fee for service model.

Equipment and resources

GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler for hi-plex spatial expression analysis
Nanostring nCounter flex instrument for expression analysis of genes and proteins
Agilent Bioanalyzer for measuring RNA, DNA, and protein quality and integrity
Nanodrop 8000 for measuring RNA/DNA concentration and purity

Services provided

The SpatialOmics@LU core facility offers hi-plex spatial omics analysis of mRNA and protein in tissue sections using the GeoMX DSP platform from nanoString. Investigate the expression of up to 90 proteins or 1800+ RNA targets in specific regions of interest, selected based on the tissue morphology.

The Nanostring nCounter system is suitable for gene expression experiments of up to 800 gene targets. The method is ideal for identification of disease specific biomarkers, verifying gene signatures or investigating specific biological pathways.

Management of the infrastructure

Sara Ek and the steering group at the department of Immunotechnology, and operationally by Lina Olsson and May Hassan
