    Description

Stensoffa field station is a facility supporting ecological research and education, located on the Revinge Field, a Natura 2000 site, in Skåne. The Revinge Field encompasses dry sandy grasslands, forests, wet grasslands and marshes surrounding Lake Krankesjön.

Stensoffa belongs to the Department of Biology and is located 17 km outside of Lund. The station provides basic facilities to support research, teaching activities and excursions.

Stensoffa has a long, rich history as a site of ecological research and education, stretching back to the 1960s. The variety of habitats in the unique surroundings host diverse field research projects, while the station provides facilities for indoor and outdoor experiments and associated lab space. Ongoing research activities cover bird navigation and migration, disease ecology of small mammals, life-history ecology of birds, plant-pollinator interactions, fish migration and genetic polymorphisms in insects, to name just a few.

Stensoffa offers space for hosting seminars and courses, with basic accommodation for up to 11 people in 9 bedrooms.
