    Description

    We have gathered state-of-the-art equipment for ultrasound research. Most importantly, ultrasound scanners such as Philips Medical System Epic 7, ULA-OP and Visualsonics Vevo 2100. Epic 7 is a high-end scanner that facilitates clinical investigations. ULA-OP is a very flexible research scanner, which allows us to control every aspect of ultrasound imaging, e.g., transmit and receive settings. Vevo 2100 is a high-frequency ultrasound system specially developed for imaging of small animals (a spatial resolution down to 30 µm. We have also access to an experimental workshop with a computer controlled flow system for generation of physiological pulsatile flow and high fidelity equipment for characterization of ultrasound fields: broadband hydrophones as well as an optical coherence tomography system and a Schlieren system for direct visualization of ultrasound fields.
