Infrastructure Details
Name of national/international infrastructure this infrastructure belongs to
MAX IV Laboratory
Description
Veritas is a cPGM beamline covering the energy region from 270 eV to 1500 eV. The source is EPU48, elliptically polarizing undulator operating in the Max IV 3.0 GeV storage ring. The beamline has two branches. Veritas A has a dedicated RIXS endstation with highly versatile sample environment. Veritas B is an open port branch.
The beamline is operated by the RIXS team at Max IV (Veritas + Species RIXS).
The beamline is operated by the RIXS team at Max IV (Veritas + Species RIXS).
Equipment and resources
RIXS spectrometer with many sample environments supported among others Liquid microjet, closed cycle He-cryostat, goniometer, flow cells all supported by a curom made manipulator system.
Management of the infrastructure
The beamline is headed by a beamline scientist, time for experiments is allocated through a peer review process by an external program advisory committee. The scientific scope of the beamline is defined in interaction with the management of MAX IV Laboratory and the Scientific Advisory Committee.
