Description

The Centre for Oresund Region Studies (Centrum för Öresundsstudier) is an interdisciplinary network organization that creates dynamic meetings between researchers, and between researchers and actors outside of the academia. The Centre for Oresund Region Studies collaborates with the surrounding community on issues relating to the Oresund region from regional, national and transnational perspectives. The networking activities come in several forms, for example: Seminars, workshops and conferences; Book publications; Electronic journal; Research projects.

Research

CORS focuses on border regions and, in particular, the Oresund region, as a transnational region and empirical research area. The Centre for Oresund Region Studies is also a platform for critical discussions on issues relevant to a variety of transnational processes, such as the border as barrier and engine, migration patterns, identity and politics, environmental and climate issues, cultural heritage and technology.
