    Unit profile

    Description

The group covers a wide field of physiological research, including nuclear medicine. Several clinical scientists pursue clinical research in cooperation with hospital departments, but also with university departments with an emphasis of developing new diagnostic techniques. We perform research in two main areas – nuclear medicine and clinical physiology. Our research includes development of artificial intelligence to detect and quantify tumours in PET images. Other strong research includes exercise physiology, development of a conceptually new technique for diagnosis of emphysema and evaluation of longitudinal arterial wall movement with ultrasound.
