    Unit profile

    Research

The Department of Chemistry belongs to both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University. All education and research at the department takes place at Kemicentrum, Scandinavias´s largest center for education and research in chemistry.  We have a common goal of our research: research for the benefit of a sustainable society. We are conducting research within all areas of chemistry, which ranges from basic to applied research. Strong focus areas are the environment, energy, renewable resources and health. We have gathered our research in four centers: The Center for Analysis and Synthesis, The Center for Molecular Protein Science, The Center for Applied Life Sciences and The Center for Physical and Theoretical chemistry.

    UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
