Unit profile

Research

Our research covers many different areas that together form a holistic approach to promote technological progress while taking into account the environment, human health and the needs of society. By focusing on processes, products, people and the environment, we endeavour to create a positive impact at multiple levels. Our goal is sustainable and innovative research that meets current and future challenges.

Description

We were formed in January 2024 after a merger of the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Food Technology, Engineering and Nutrition. Welcome to a department that addresses a wide range of research issues, provides education that is in demand by the labour market and collaborates in an international environment. Many of our researchers and teachers work at the global forefront of chemical engineering, food technology and drug formulation. We have an advanced research infrastructure and run several projects together with industry. A common driving force is the curiosity that leads to technological innovations and scientific breakthroughs. Our students are the problem solvers of the future - with us they lay the foundation for a professional career that leads to many options.

UN Sustainable Development Goals
