Description

The Department of Translational Medicine is one of six departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. The organisation covers experimental, epidemiological and point-of-care research. The department collaborates closely with public healthcare. We attach great importance to the potential of research findings and to transfer these to patient care and that there be an exchange between research and healthcare that facilitates the development of diagnostics, treatment and new drugs. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the department's strategic area of development. The department is located at Skåne University Hospital in central Malmö and has a close collaboration with the hospital and Region Skåne’s laboratory activities. Parts of the organisation are located at the Clinical Research Centre (CRC), a modern award-winning building and meeting place for medical training, research and healthcare.
