Description

Division of Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology conducts research and education at undergraduate and postgraduate level within different areas of biotechnology such as industrial biotechnology for biobased chemicals, bioenergy and food, environmental biotechnology, and biotechnology for health. Technical microbiology has extensive experience in research on microbial physiology and bioanalysis. The goal is to understand, engineer, and control the activity of microbes in food and water, and for the industrial production of chemicals, fuels, materials, agricultural products, and pharmaceuticals.
