Description

The Emergency Medicine Group is engaged in several research projects, including: • Diagnosis of myocardial infarction and unstable angina in the emergency department • Risk assessment in the emergency department, including triage, and decision support based on artificial intelligence • The value of medical checklists in the resuscitation room • Diagnostic and prognostic significance of electrocardiography in the emergency department • Medical mapping of violent crime, injury patterns, and causes of death • Lead times, workload, and clinical outcomes in the emergency department (in collaboration with Linköping University) • Improving trauma care in low-income countries (in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet) The group also manages the Lund Center of Emergency Medicine (LUCEM, http://lucem.info/).
