Description
Organisatoriskt motsvarar Epilepsicentrum en avdelning under IKVL och består av tre forskargrupper; Experimentell Epilepsi, Cellulär Neurofysiologi och Epilepsi, samt Molekylär Neurofysiologi och Epilepsi. Till skillnad från en traditionell avdelning består Epilepsicentrum även av associerade forskargrupper som tillsammans utgör en gemensam plattform för initiering och utveckling av nya projekt inom translationell epilepsiforskning. Epilepsicentrums övergripande målsättning är att vara ett tvärvetenskapligt forsknings- och innovationscentrum med excellent klinisk experimentell och patientnära forskning. Avdelningschef och ordförande för styrgruppen: Professor Merab Kokaia, Experimentell Epilepsi. Vice ordförande: Universitetslektor Kristina Källén, Klinisk Epilepsi.
