Unit profile

Research

The project group “Evidence based clinical methods” evaluates clinical methods for assessment and treatment, to improve the evidence base for the clinical work in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Several projects concern validating questionnaires and neuropsychological tests used in diagnostic assessments. Several intervention studies are ongoing. We study how white noise improves working memory on children with ADHD, cognitive behavioural group therapy for adolescents with ADHD, long-term effect of intensive behavioural treatment on children with autism, and implementation of a treatment programme for depression, cerebellar function in ADHD and autism, how motor and perceptual difficulties relate to other disorders and the importance of environmental toxins and pre- and perinatal risk factors for neurodevelopmental disorders.
