How can we understand peoples' dealing with information? What are the consequences of the emerging network society for our information practices and memory institutions?
The research group investigates peoples' activities in contemporary society in which information is attributed increasing significance. A starting point is the interplay between what people do and material and cultural conditions for this. Issues investigated include for instance digital media, digital publishing and archiving, information seeking, information literacy, trustworthiness, or libraries in transformation. The research group consists of senior researchers as well as PhD students.
