More about us

Our research group studies how mental health problems in young people emerge, can be assessed, treated, and prevented. We run projects with youth with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, depression, autism, and gender dysphoria.

We develop novel assessment and intervention methods and conduct clinical trials, longitudinal studies, and experimental and implementation research. We work with health economists, epidemiologists, and molecular biologists to study biopsychosocial factors and the impact of mental disorders on individuals, families, and society.

We run one of the world’s largest RCTs in child psychiatry, evaluating the effects of care models on clinical outcomes and healthcare and societal costs. We also run a large longitudinal study with an embedded prevention RCT for high-risk children and a cohort study with youth with gender dysphoria. Additionally, we coordinate several clinical trials evaluating several online treatments for youth with mental disorders.
