Unit profile

Research

Our research is interdisciplinary, with several approaches into clinical research. In Lund, audiology and logopedics have been extended into a research subject, with joined focus on cognitive language and hearing science. Through this approach we have developed the department’s different area in a novel way. Our research is diverse, albeit with clear theoretical and methodological consistency. This strong structure and cohesion separates Lund from speech and audiological research at other universities in Sweden, making our research environment internationally viable and competitive. Employees at the department participate in, and are mainly responsible for, the programmes for master’s degrees in audiology and logopedics. We have been very successful in creating academic excellence in the two programmes we provide.
